Iraqi Freedom
This video was made by Ray W., a college student from California, and set to the killer Tool song, "Hush". It was made sometime in 2003, shortly after the fall of Baghdad, and covers the first few months of the current Iraq war. It starts with the cruise missiles that kicked off the war, quickly moves into some serious action, and is followed by jubilant celebrations in the streets of Iraq.
Ray did an amazing job editing this all together with a nice theme to it. He tells me he plans to work on another version with a new song and more recent video and images and I can't wait to see what else he puts together. I'll be sure to post it here when he finds the time in between studying for classes to make another one.
If you want to tell Ray what you think of his work, you can email him here: nhbinternational@usa.com
Enjoy!
** Warning: The song contains explicit lyrics **
Music: Hush by Tool off Opiate
Update April 2006: The Iraqi Government has declared April 9th as "Iraqi Freedom Day". That should be reason enough to take five minutes each year on this date to come by and watch this tribute video in support of the people who made it all possible!
